I believe in a government that protects the rights of individuals, without telling us how we should live our lives.
I believe that government should operate in the open, and not make secret back-room deals or spring legislation on voters without giving them time for debate.
I believe in supporting public education and giving all students the opportunity to grow and learn.
I believe that communities should be involved in open discussions about what is being developed and planned for their neighborhoods.
I believe that healthcare is a fundamental right and should be more important than corporate profits.
I believe that workers deserve a fair wage and the right to organize together.
I believe that climate change is a threat to our children’s future and that government must work with private industry to solve this crisis.

Meet Michael
Michael has deep roots in Kentucky and has lived in Jessamine County since 2007. He understands that government is best when it protects the rights of individuals and supports them in their daily struggles. He does not want a government that interferes in personal decisions. He does not believe that our government should be more willing to work with big business than its citizens.
Michael comes from a long line of Democrats and union supporters. He is the sixth of eight children and learned early on how to work well with others in difficult situations. He has two adult children, both of whom have been, or are serving in the military. Michael is married to Barbara Ramlow. They have two grandchildren. A retired librarian, Michael also ran his own home-repair business.
